NY Solar Incentives app for ChatGPT: terms of use
On this page 6 sections
Effective October 18, 2026. These terms cover only the NY Solar Incentives app inside ChatGPT. The app is published by NY Solar Incentives (nysolarincentives.org), which is run by Noam Yakov. Your use of ChatGPT itself is covered by OpenAI’s terms.
What the app is
The app estimates the cost, savings and payback of a home solar system in a New York State county, lists the utilities that serve a county, and lists the RPTL 487 property-tax exemption opt-outs on record. It uses the same data and arithmetic as the calculator at nysolarincentives.org/ny-solar-savings-calculator/, where every source and date is listed.
Estimates, not advice
Results are estimates from public averages. They are not a quote, a design for your roof, or financial, legal or tax advice. Incentives, tariffs and charges change; your roof, your use, your utility’s current tariff and your own tax situation decide the real numbers. Check anything that matters with your installer, your utility, your assessor and a tax professional before you rely on it.
No affiliation
nysolarincentives.org is an independent publisher. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or run by NYSERDA, the State of New York, the federal government or any installer, and it receives no referral fees.
Fair use
Use the app for your own questions. Do not try to overload it, scrape it in bulk or use it to break any law.
Availability and liability
The app is provided as is. We try to keep it running and its data current, but we do not guarantee that it is always available or free of errors, and we are not liable for decisions made on its estimates, to the extent the law allows.
Changes and contact
We may update the app and these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: contact page.
